Topic: Resolve that students should be able to wear whatever they want
(Oppose)

Our motion today is “resolve that students should be able to wear whatever they want”. I strongly disagree that students can choose to wear whatever they want to school. To start with, let us define the topic, what does it mean by “whatever”, does it mean that students can wear anything with completely no restriction, even bikini?
As a student, I think that it is important to for students to wear school uniform to school.
Firstly, uniform is an act of discipline and at the same time being one of a group, it represent the school image and it is known to be the epitome of submission, obedience and system. It helps in creating a sense of identity and a sense of belonging to the school.

Also, uniform helps in creating a disciplined atmosphere no matter outside school or inside school, this is because with the uniform on, students will be more cautious and responsible towards their actions in social life. It acts as an identification for them no matter they are outside or inside school. It prevents students from indulging in anti-social behavior as they can easily be identified in their uniform and every bits of their actions determine the reputation of the school.

Thirdly, uniforms allow students to express themselves through their character instead of through their appearance. In return they are also judged by others by their actions and personalities instead of by the way they dress. If students can wear whatever they want to to school, some of the students may try to show off their latest sneakers, the brand of their clothes and the range of their accessories. In an atmosphere like this, students who come from poor financial backgrounds will either find themselves alienated or they will push their parents in getting the same things as their mates. A uniform acts a great balance, as they are available across a range of prices so that every student can afford it, thus there

In almost every English class, the transition from midterm to final term is not quite easy. In this class final term, ENG 121, I have practiced my writing skills continuously with the process and writing from analysis of printed ad to the complicated argumentative essay. Uniforms have been proven to promote learning and help kids stay focused in school. Many people believe putting on a uniform resembles a parent putting on a suit, and getting ready for work. It makes the students take a more serious interest in the work they are doing at school. Also, it has been proven that wearing uniforms provides less of a distraction than fashionable clothes create. With uniforms, there is absolutely no controversy over who has the newest, coolest clothes in school.…
