The White House was built on October 13, 1792. The first President ever to live in the White house was John Adams. In 1814 during the War of 1812 the British set fire to the White House. The main rooms in the White House are, West Sitting Hall, East Garden Room, Navy Mess, Vice President West Wing Office, Yellow Oval Room, East Room, Oval Office, China Room, Lincoln’s Bedroom, Treaty Room, Queen’s Bedroom, Green Room, Blue Room, Red Room, Lincoln’s Sitting Room, Cabinet Room, Roosevelt Room, Vermeil Room, Map Room, Brady Briefing Room. There are 6 floors. In the White House there is the East wing and the West Wing. The East wing is used as office space for the President’s spouse and their stuff. It is home to the President of the United States. The west wing is used as the President’s executive office staff.

The internship program is a special opportunity to gain valuable professional experience and builds leadership.
