The Wise Child The Vanna Venturi House Analysis
The Vanna Venturi House is counted as “one of the 10 buildings that changed America” in a new PBS documentary. This building has a couple of mixing techniques like the marble floor, the standing column in the middle of the dining area, and panel doors. This mixing of fashion had changed the american architecture, so that it become postmodern. The Vanna Venturi House is a building in Chestnut Hill, Pennsylvania and built in 1961-1964. It is designed by architect Robert Venturi for his mother Vanna Venturi. There were a couple of elements addressed in the article “It’s a Wise Child: The Vanna Venturi House” by Friedman which stated that the building has thin and flat walls, feston of mismatched windows, and the entrance is huge and not clear.
