The Wop Analysis
When I first came to this sub, I was lost. Everyone had their own language, acronyms, established good and bad players, and it was mid season. So I did what most people would do, I lurked for a while, leaving a few infrequent posts every here and there. In this short introductory phase, I learned a few things about the sub. The first thing I noticed was that "The_Wop" was the main man, a mere mortal revered as a God. So, one day I refreshed reddit.com/r/MaddenUltimateTeam/new . The most recent [post](https://www.reddit.com/r/MaddenUltimateTeam/comments/3wad2f/new_stream_team_collaboration_we_need_your_help/) was 2 minutes old, no comments. It read "New Stream Team collaboration. We need your help and we will definitely do some giveaways tonight!". That was the birth of what became the MUTogTeam. I came in there, and witnessed what future …show more content…

For the very first time, I saw someone who is Madden Elite play the game. It was eye opening, and I learned that calling plays from the suggestions box wasn't the best idea. At the very end of the night, I won that glorious man's giveaway for ZACH freakin' THOMAS. At the time he was 300k, the best player on my team at that point was 145k XB1. So I kept around, met EmbrytheGh0st, and watched twitch.tv/mutogteam develop into the juggernaut it is today. It's a very popular stream, with a lot of great followers. What Wop did for me that day, through his friendliness, Madden tips, and that sweet Zach Thomas, I will never forget or repay. He got me into Madden, he sunk the hook in me like I was a fish, and I've been playing like an addict ever since. I love the game, but I have never forgotten the man who got me into it, and gave me one of the game's best cards at the time for no reason other than the kindness of his heart. The Wop has also done endless amounts of work and giveaways for all of us in this community, and I think we all need to say one giant,

The belief that race is merely based on the color of a person’s skin has been the most common used method for defining racial boundaries in the modern world. However, this is not an accurate representation of how human beings should be classifies. According to authors, Omi and Winant, identifying an individual’s race on the basis of physical attributes is the most superficial factor in determining a person’s race (2). There are over seven billion people on this Earth, so what is it that makes me so different? I wear Nike, I drive a car, I play video games, I have chores, and could be considered a pretty normal person. I love, I laugh, I get angry, and I have emotions just like every other human being. The one thing I heavily identify with is football. For as long as I can remember I’ve played ball, and made some great friends along the way. The picture in the top left is a great representation of this. Football has taught me lessons of leadership, perseverance, toughness, how to deal with the highest of highs, and the lowest of lows. (Bottom left: aftermath of beating Staley) Above all else, the best thing it has taught me was loyalty. Not only loyalty to a cause, but loyalty to my brothers, and ultimately my family. Football has created a foundation for my character, and without it I am certain I would not be the same person I am today.…

Soccer has been consuming my time, thoughts, and body since my parents signed me up for small-time recreational soccer twelve years ago that developed into extremely competitive travel soccer. They, perhaps unknowingly, threw me headlong into a life of traveling countless miles, long nights of practice, and an unforgettable amount of tears, sweat, and bloodshed. All which persisted over the course of my extensive soccer career.…

    Discourse community

The knowledge I have gained from being a part of the athletic community is very vast and I would argue that is why I am a member of the discourse community. I earned my first gold medal when I was in the second grade for winning the 50 yard dash. That was a day that I will never forget. Winning that race motivated me to participate in sports more often and take keen interest in learning more about the athletic community. Since then, I learned how to train for many different sports my school offered. I trained for running, long jump, javelin throw, discuss throw, and table tennis. I learned the basic techniques of these sports and mastered them with ease. I remember clearly how I was able to beat my own friend who had taught me how to play table tennis. I took part in many competitions such as the state tournament for table tennis. There, the other competitors were at times so much better than me. I carefully examined the other players’ style, understood my own mistakes and practiced them to perfection. I developed my skills through practice as my knees and arms grew to strengthen and coordinate better. But later in my high school, winning alone wasn’t enough for me. I was motivated to learn the developmental history of each sport and its origin.…
