According to this poem, we can see that theme, “The winds that will be howling at all hours” (Line 5-7). The elements deliberately choose to help people. Hence, people can appreciate this beautiful event, and live healthily and enjoy life. Furthermore, because of the wind power, wind power stations can create extra electricity for humans to use. Nowadays, people hardly notice that environmental resources play a significant role in building a remarkable life for them. This is described in the poem, “And are up-gathered now like sleeping flowers” (line 5-7). Nature is like a sleeping flower that is hard to notice, but describes the beautiful world. In addition, Wordsworth mentioned the topic of gaining living resources from the surroundings, “The world is too much with us; late and soon” (line 1). Because the environment treats people like a grateful elder who is able to take care of its children, humans, people should appreciate what they have, and be grateful for the outstanding supply from the Earth. However, there are huge amounts of conflict in society. Being tolerant and loving should be the two largest attributes that humans need to learn. This poem has used the pronoun “we” (line 2-4.8) four times to strongly express that there are no unlimited resources appearing in this world. We, as humans must protect such a beautiful environment while living in this great place for thousands and thousands of years. Wordsworth noticed that we tend to waste our abilities, “Getting and spending, we lay waste our powers” (line 1). From the word “we” (line 2), the reader can powerfully believe people should stop their desire to take resources from the environment, otherwise, the environment will be abused and contaminated. Eventually, humans will obtain the penalty from nature. Therefore, people should not be against nature or against other humans, in order to gain a small benefit. For instance, cutting rare species of trees to make furniture for rich people, taking ivory from elephants to make decorations, and emissions of for our driving convenience, are all ways we try to take advantage of this world. Thus, in this poem, the word “us”(line1,9,13) is used three times by the author as a recommendation; instead of implementing those negative actions, people should appreciate what they have and constrain themselves to obtain a forever and incredible living
