He was hit in the face with another player’s stick. He went into a state of depression for weeks. Though Susan was sick and her help was failing, she still tried to take care of helpless son. When she couldn’t do it anymore, Wilbur stepped in and started taking care for her. He did not finish high school but this motivated him to read more books than ever. When Wilbur was healed and able to start living his life again, he and Orville published a newspaper called the West Side News. They even opened a bicycle shop called the Wright Cycle Exchange, in 1893.

The brothers were determined to make this experiment work. Once they set their mind on doing something, nothing or no one could stop them from proceeding until the job were finished.
