1. Introduction
In this report we would like to focus on fast fashion industry – H&M, which is one of the world’s largest, fashion companies. The 1st store – Hennes women’s clothing opened in Sweden at 1947. H&M consists of six different brands with around 3,200 stores all over the world and employed over 116,000 people across the world. Their ambition is to be the forefront of both fashion and sustainability. (H&M, 2014)
The project manager of Green Peace – Ms. Kong (2012) reported that fast fashion industry has a very ugly side, the production process consume near one forth of global chemicals usage every year. We should thank for the effort of Greenpeace volunteers to push 19 big fashion brands like H&M Burberry, Zara, Mango, and Nike committing to detox their clothes and manufacturing processes
