No, you can’t believe everything you read on the internet but these are seemingly accurate definitions. I believe the text was written in basis of a coming to age story for a young teen named Janie Crawford and in telling her story she unintentionally embodied the traits of a feminist, though Janie was pretty unaware when it came to a love-life and the trials between needs and wants she goes against male dominance, the normalcy of a woman (in those times) and her grandmother’s “smart” , convenient and easier way of life.
