Janie Crawford is fascinated by the transformation from the blooming pear tree. This helps to keep a relationship working for way longer. In the book “Their Eyes Were Watching God” Janie had three different husbands where she learned more about love. Logan Killicks, Janie’s first husband was an old unattractive man, you could tell that Janie was unhappy with her first husband; however Janie’s grandmother thought that Logan was the best option because she sees him as security for Janie. To start off, for Logan love is giving Janie a gentle mule so that she can help him plow the fields and that is not what Janie thinks love is about. Logan already had his mindset, old and set in his ways; his life consisted on farm routines. This is an example of the lack of communication, also not to forget to mention about the age difference between Janie and Logan which did not help this relationship to
