Anglo-Saxons epic poem other known as Beowulf tells the story of a brave young man that puts himself in the face of danger. Beowulf, a warrior that fights against evil, encounters many beasts throughout his life that he must defeat in order to save his kingdom from destruction. The theme of good vs. evil is paramount in the poem. Beowulf defeats three different monsters Grendel, Grendel’s mother, and the dragon. He has never lost a battle therefor he is undefeated. Beowulf is known to use either a sword or even his bare hands to defeat his enemies. Beowulf, an epic poem and hero, is seen with qualities of strength, leadership, and a yearning for prominence.
