Theme Of Fate In Monkey's Paw

In the story "Monkey's Paw" the author shows that you cannot control fate because it is already planned. The author also tells that interfering with fate is unwise and will bring bad luck. For instance, Mr. White, a lead character in the story, tries to control and interfere his fate by wishing to a monkey's paw despite the warning of Sergeant Morris who gave it to him.
