Theme Of Humanity In To Kill A Mockingbird

In To Kill a Mockingbird, there are many themes and events that convey certain traits about humanity and it’s qualities. Most importantly, many of the townspeople have racist ideals that put african americans at an immediate disadvantage in many cases. For example, an african american man named Tom Robinson is accused of a crime that he didn’t commit and because of his ethnicity, almost no one is defending him.
Secondly, To Kill a Mockingbird shows that it’s important to defend those who can’t protect themselves. It shows this by having Atticus defend Tom Robinson in his case when no one else would.
Lastly, it presents the idea that doing what’s right is more important than keeping your pride. It presents this idea when Scout and Jem are
