♣ When Scout’s is hearing that her classmates are saying awful things because her father, Atticus is defending the black man, while she doesn’t think there is anything wrong with what Atticus is doing. She goes to talk to Atticus and he tells her that it’s not a really bad thing that other people might think it is. Scout not old enough to understand the prejudice and injustice. Atticus is trying to maintain this innocence by telling her and teaching her to believe that there is nothing wrong with defending a person of an opposite skin color (Black). It’s his duty, and should be her’s as well.
