The Giver is a book that covers some very interesting and sometimes hidden themes. These themes can be very hard to find. However, when found, can benefit the reader greatly. Today I will be telling you about most, if not all, of the themes in The Giver.
The first theme that I have found in this book is the main theme of individuality. In this book, all choices are made, and your whole life is decided at birth. Things, such as love or art, are non-existent. Also, people in these “communities” cannot see color. As you can probably imagine, this is a VERY BAD THING!! There is another theme hiding backstage, however. This is the theme of making your own choices. One could argue that this would be the same as individuality,
