I believe the actor who played Boo Levy was exceptional because she expressed her emotions and thoughts in a manner that I could sympathize with her. I could truly feel her frustration, sadness, and anger in every scene. She effortlessly conveyed these emotions to the audience. One scene that stood out to me was when she had fight with her brother-in-law and expressed hatred towards his partial treatment towards Sunny. This scene stuck with me because it showed how hurt she felt as a result of his actions.
In my opinion, the worst actor in the play was Reba Freitag because I didn’t feel like I could connect with her and did not seem like a convincing character that performed with conviction in this …show more content…
The parts of the living room highlighted included the Christmas tree and the photographs hung on the wall. The parts of the room highlighted is important because they support the themes of the play. In another scene of the play, only a front portion of the stage was highlighted with a black background. These scenes were when Sunny was aboard on a train and signifies intimate moments with Joe. The lighting displayed in the different scenes helped support the story or theme of the play. The lack of lighting at the end of the play is significant because they are together as a family lighting the Sabbath candles with only the candles illuminating the room.
