Theme Of The Tree Hugger
In the book The Tree Hugger the theme is about Bullying, jealousy and isolation. This theme is easy to understand along with the plot. The theme in this book is explained through a girl being bullied. Also that its shows that its not just about the bully and the victim. There are always others involved and its sad that most of the time they do nothing to help.

In the story this girl named Debbie, sees a new girl Shalmalah getting bullied and does nothing to help. This girl Debbie does nothing to help because she is scared. She doesn't want to be bullied and left out also. When Debbie gets home she comes to find that her mom and Shalmalah's mom are now friends. Now she is confused on weather to be her friend or not.
