Theodore Roosevelt Contributions To Society

Teddy Roosevelt has been given the honor of being one of the four people on Mount Rushmore. He has accomplished many things for the benefit of Americans and the U.S, one example being the Square Deal. One of his greatest contributions was how he improved public health. For example, he instituted the “Meat Inspection Act,” which prohibited the sale of misbranded livestock and ensured that livestock was slaughtered under sanitary conditions. He also created the Food and Drug Administration (F.D.A), which protects public health by regulating the nation’s food supply. In addition, he was a big advocate in protecting the environment. He preserved sites and millions of acres of land. He also created parks, national monuments, and bird sanctuaries
