There Will Be Blood
The film “There will be Blood,” was directed and screen written by Paul Thomas Anderson and was released in 2007. The main character was an unexpected and mysterious man named Daniel Plainview, who surprised everyone at least one time during the whole film. It is a good movie because you have to really look deep and tie everything together and figure it out, showing that there is a deeper meaning then its made out to be. The film is in the perfect genre category, which is drama. The conflicts in the movie make it more interesting and has it hanging on the edge of my seat. Conflicts such as H.W finding out that Daniel Plainview wasn't really his father, or when daniel finds out someone has been faking to be his brother for a while now. Daniel

Today I am pitching the latest movie that I have written so that I may convince you that it will be a box office success. My latest film is titled Kill Bill and it is a combination of the martial arts, thriller, and action genres. The film follows a female protagonist, simply known as the Bride, who has been put in to a coma on the day of her wedding by a group of assassins whom she used to belong to and the leader of which, a man named Bill, she was formerly romantically involved with. Four years later, the protagonist awakes from her coma and embarks on a journey of revenge, in which she targets each of the assassins who attempted to kill her. The film explores the backstory behind the main character and the group of assassins she formerly belonged too.…

While the flow of the murdering story itself, one of the most interesting and important facts in the novel In Cold Blood is the characterization of Dick and Perry, the murderers. They are both demonstrated as cold blooded, but as the story come into possession of gleaning Dick’s and Perry’s background personality, it becomes conspicuous that Dick is mentally and emotionally cold blooded while Perry is physically cold blooded. They were both erroneous and received death penalty but Dick deserved more than Perry.…

Truman Capote explores the idea of victimization in his renowned American novel In Cold Blood. The Clutters are the most apparent victims, in which they all were brutally murdered in their own home. Without Capote’s depiction of the events that let up to that heinous crime, they would be known as the only casualties. In writing this novel, Capote portrays the two murders, Dick Hickock and Perry Smith, as victims as well; not of a homicide, but of life’s circumstances. Dick was born mentally handicapped and Perry was physically abused as a child. These childhood conditions are allegedly what led the two men to commit the murder of four innocent people.…

What does one gain from murdering a family? Capote wrote, “Then I aimed my gun. The room just exploded. Went blue. Just blazed up” (244). In Truman Capote’s “In Cold Blood,” four shots to four heads occurred in the Clutter home in the isolated city of Holcomb, Kansas on November 15, 1959. The main characters are the Clutter family, and two men named Dick and Perry. Capote’s novel “In Cold Blood” illustrates the murder of a family and the case to capture the suspects, how mental illness/psychological states control the actions of individuals, the objective yet soothing style of his writing, and an implication on how Capote views the deaths and the death penalty.…

Director and screenwriter Richard Brooks influences the viewers of In Cold Blood, to think not only certain things about the murder and murderers in the plot, which is based on a true story and nonfiction novel, but also tries to shape viewers' ideas about certain social issues. In particular, sex becomes a theme throughout the movie and given how particular characters respond to sex, shapes the viewers' sense of the character. Sex through Perry's eyes, is seen as a horrific, violent action. While the viewer gets a glimpse into why Perry is so opposed to sex and why perhaps he's so troubled, ultimately the viewer ends up with less sympathy towards Perry, seeing Perry almost replace his sexual drive with violence and murder.…
