Technology- the house, the robots in the attic, the robot mice.
In both stories we died and they are saying that no one would notice if we all died.
In both stories the sun rose nearing the end of both the poem and the story - significance: it means that even if we die it is a new day the next day so just restart and who knows what will happen
Both stories say that no one will know of any of the wars that were fought on the earth because no one will care.

Thesis: both the poem “thereeeee will come soft rains” are created for separate purposes but are similar to each other as well. In both the story and the poem thereeeee are lots of motifs that can be similar and can be different.
