Everyone is gone and there’s one house left, with robots. In the teleplay, “There will Come Soft Rains” by Ray Bradbury, Sadness and Irony is the theme and tells us that technology can be bad and will kill us all.
The theme is first introduced by the house starts cleaning itself, going through routine. The scene shows that there’s one house left and the people are gone, cause the people were killed. “Nine-fifteen,” said that clock, “Time to clean.” The house is continuing its routine. This tells us that there’s no one at the house but robots, who are going in routine.
