“One cannot have company alone. It is impossible. All one could ever have is the devil who wants to be their best friend or their worst nightmare. In the end, he is still the devil, regardless of the reason he was summoned for or how complementary or not his visit was to one’s mental health. The imperceptiveness of solitude conflicts all decisions within a given time; that solitude still holds all living integrity inside and outside of one. Everything that has been built up for as long as you have lived is inside one’s solitude. Our solitude is us, and that, my young one, is the scariest part.”
Solitude is a scary thing.
