• Impressionism is a style of art that presents an immediate impression of an object or event. It is a style borrowed from painting which creates atmosphere and illusion of light. Impressionist painters try to show what the eye sees at a glance, rather than what they know or feel about the object or incident. They try to reproduce light as it appears the eye when reflected from surface of things. Impressionism music maybe described great as having refinement, define vagueness and an eye-luminous, fog atmosphere precisionist music is usually on atmospheric affects or descriptive ideas. Claude Debussy and Ravel of France wrote music with sounds that called forth such as
• Expressionism. Art critics invented the term to describe a style of painting which developed from and in reaction to the kind of painting called impressionism. Impressionist painters were mainly concerned with how the surface of objects appeared to the eye at a particular moment. Expressionist painters used irrigating colors and distorted shapes. Expressionism conveyed the anguish of the poor and the horrors of war which made it a social protest. Expressionist music describes generally as music that expresses the true emotions with exaggeration. They
