Music Style in Modern Music

• The 20th century is perceived to have attained a wide variety of development that one finds difficult to interpret. The predominant trait of the twentieth century is individualism. It talks about the imagination and expression of an individual’s innermost feelings with clarity and balance. This king of direction has greatly affected the stream of music.
• And that is the reason why in the previous lesson people started to flourish as individuals. It was discussed that musicians appreciated broadways, vaudeville, explored in electronic music and the likes.

• Impressionism is a style of art that presents an immediate impression of an object or event. It is a style borrowed from painting which creates atmosphere and illusion of light. Impressionist painters try to show what the eye sees at a glance, rather than what they know or feel about the object or incident.
