BEAUTY PAGEANT
A TERM PAPER PRESENTED TO MRS.VILLAHERMOSA “STA.TERESA COLLEGE BAUAN BATANGAS”
CHAPTER I
Introduction:
The only importance of that is to raise young girls' confidence in them. Beauty
Pageant contestants represent their country because I think they only want to
know which country has more talented, beautiful and great girls. They just want to
compete with each other and to know who more superior prior to beautiful women is.
In Mauritius it has NO IMPORTANCE AT ALL. An average person doesn't give a shit of
it.
WHY?
Indians/Muslims: Pageants is viewed as DISRESPECTFUL. Conservative parents do
not let their children participate MAINLY cos of the BIKINI session.
Blacks: They are the majority who participate in pageants. Black women are
generally viewed as easy and cheap women in Mauritius.
Chinese: They are neutral to pageants.
Whites: The beautiful top white girls view Miss Mauritius as a cheap pageant cos of the
low quality of girls who participate and they think by participating they'll degrade
themselves so they prefer participate in other quality pageants as Ellite Model Look.
You'll be amazed how many beautiful girls there are in Mauritius specially

3. Upper Caste Indians(Light Skin/Light Eyes)
70% of Mauritians are descendants from India. Among them Hindus, Muslims, Tamils,
Telegus, Marathis & Biharis, 25% are blacks, 3% Chinese, 2% Whites descendants of
French & English.
BUT LAETITIA DARCHE HAS CHANGED AND EVOLVED STUFFS BY STEPPING
INTO THE PAGEANT. SHE TRIGGERED A SHOCKWAVE IN MAURITIUS BY
PARTICIPATING IN MISS MAURITIUS. NEVER IN 40 YEARS SUCH A BEAUTIFUL
GIRL HAS STEPPED INTO MISS MAURITIUS. I HOPE SHE WINS SO THAT IT
INSPIRES REAL QUALITY GIRLS TO PARTICIPATE IN THE FUTURE.
