All of us have dreams, goals we have that we want to accomplish. Some of us have goals we try to accomplish, while the special few go all the way and go far and wide to accomplish their dreams. Their lives may completely change and face life-changing decisions. The novel Dragonwings, written by Laurence Yep, illustrates how dreams drive our hopes and create our lives.
Windrider has a dream that takes over his life. He wants to be a dragon. His every decision that he makes is to become a dragon. He decides to leave the Tang town for the demons’ town. In this novel by Laurence Yep you will find it starts out with a young boy named Moon Shadow. He lives in China in 1903 he has never met his father who happens to be an amazing kite maker. One day a letter arrives in the mail the next thing you know Moon Shadow and his cousin Hand Clap are off on a boat to the golden mountain. He lives there for several years but soon devastation comes to the whole Tang village and town on the golden mountain.
