Ladies and Chantal mans I want to greet all of you the Muslims greeting asalamu alaykum warahmah after that my thesis title is money transfer industry and its impact on socio- economic development in puntland state of Somalia.
THESIS PROBLEM STATEMENT 1- Is to determine important of remittance to puntland in their service.
2- To conduct a literature review of previous studies about the important of remittance in puntland .
3- To trace puntland population receiving remittance from family members abroad, to conduct interview on chosen puntland who receive remittance from abroad, to analyze the collated data.
4- To draw conclusion based on the result and promote insightful recommendation.
OBJECTIVE OF THE RESEARCH
General objectives of the study are to find out or examine the importance and the influence of the hawalah (remittance) on puntland community .the study attempted to achieve the following objectives.
1) To find out the economic importance of remittances to the puntland society.
2) To find out the sources and amounts of remittance entering the country annually.
3) To suggest states better utility of the resource received from remittances.
GEOGRAPHICAL SCOPE
The study was limited to Bari region of Puntland where Bosaso is one of the Districts in it. Its results will be applicable to other regions of Puntland which include Highland, Nugal, Karkaar, Mudug, Sool and Sanag regions. The generalization will be done with care although some of its findings could be applied to other parts of the country.
