During the renaissance time, the world set its mind on inventions. From Europe, all the way to china, people’s lives were to never be the same again. Many inventions made things easier. For instance, the invention of the compass made it easier for marines and travelers to set on to their traveling journeys without worries of getting lost. People were very creative and there was almost a general decision on making sure that the latest inventions were easier to use than the previous inventions. In the middle age, most people could not read nor write. Books would be written by hands, so this was very expensive and took a lot of time to finish. Until 1450, a revolution arised. Mr. Gutenberg came up with a solution to spread information in a very fast way and for cheaper. But first, I would like to introduce the face being the biggest revolution of the renaissance.
Mr. John Gutenberg was born in 1398 in Mainz Germany in a very wealthy family.
In around 1428, the young locksmith Gutenberg, experienced a revolt of the poor merchants against the wealthy, this prompted his family to exile in Strasbourg, France. This is where his experience with printing started. In 1438, Gutenberg set to invent a printing press. Two years later in 1440 Gutenberg has officially invented the printing press. This printing way of pressing inked metaled leters against white sheets of paper was a revolution that opened everyone’s mind because unlike before, books were now affordable and bought at a cheaper price. This was a forty-two lines book from which the Protestant Revolution came about against the Catholic. The protestants believed that God was a faithful God and that sins were forgiven without any price on them. Something that the catholic was practicing with their followers. With that came a list of theses made for the catholic so that they can clarify to the people how they translated to their followers what they bible really taught. The catholic at the time was super powerful, so it was easy for them to undermind anything that could ruin their reputation.
