b.) Brief History
Animated cartoons first began in the 18th century, where various tools such as the phenakistoscope (1832), zoetrope (1834) and praxinoscope (1877), along with the simpler and more common flip book were used in order to create the illusion of an image in motion. Animated projections were soon screened in France in which photographed images were set in line in order to create a sequence of moving pictures and cartoons were still made in black and white and the films were silent.
