While outsourcing may be beneficial to some of the companies partaking in it, the general consensus is that it ultimately proves to be harmful to the American workforce. The act of outsourcing and shifting many company call centers and technical support teams, or “low skill service jobs,” to foreign countries reduces jobs for those that could truly benefit from them within our own country. The unemployment rate has dramatically increased, and continues to rise, compared to what it has been in years past; yet there are numerous companies which still insist on handing over these “low skill service jobs” to people in other countries such as India. The most obvious and logical reason for outsourcing is reducing costs; people are working for a smaller fraction of the pay compared to that of their American counterparts. Outsourcing is used by many companies both in and out of the United States; it has proven to be beneficial to the companies that choose to partake in it, while other companies do just fine without outsourcing.…
After Muhammad Ali claimed that he was not going to be inducted into the United States Army because he “...ain’t got no quarrel with them Vietcong”, he was convicted of draft evasion, fined $10,000 and sentenced to five years in prison. Muhammad Ali gained his fighting licence back in 1970 and in 1971 and the conviction was appealed. His actions and bravery gave people courage to fight for what they believed in, which lead to people questioning the drafting process and helped start the anti-slavery movement. Muhammad Ali took a stand against the Supreme Court and showed them that all religious beliefs should be respected and considered before conviction.…

I will combine and address outsourcing, remote management, independent contractors and consultants altogether for this next trend as there are aspects in each of these that overlap. The big trend for outsourcing started a few years ago, there was a push in some markets and industries to go the outsourcing path and save big. While on paper a company paying $30 per hour + benefits could pay someone $2.5 per hour on contract with no benefits multiple by X employees looks amazing as a cost cutting measure and made strong impacts on profit it did not necessary turn out to the utopian solution some companies hoped for. For some companies the negative feedback from their customer base was enough to make changes or even advertise that they were using local staff. This has evolved and the outsourcing trend is here to stay and can offer ongoing benefits to organisation is implemented correctly. Technology and…
When “books for men” is typed into Google, one of the first resources that appear is called “Cool Books for Tough Guys.” The negative stereotypes about women tend to be well known and popular, the scandalous clothing and inappropriate behavior, but people do not usually consider associating the male gender with “toughness” as a negative correlation. For males that prefer literature and art to football and guns, the stereotype that to be “manly” you must enjoy sports and violent activities is extremely negative.…
