Thirty Six Children Peterson

Peterson starts off the book by mentioning a character who works as a flight attendant named Angela Dupre. On her first day, while she was standing by for an unknown aircraft to land, she experienced a shock which she never had before. When she entered the aircraft, she realized the plane was full of thirty-six babies without no other adults on board. "She stepped forward, peering at all of them. Thirty-six seats on this plane, and every single one of them was full. Each seat contained a baby"(Peterson 1). 13 years later, two boys named Jonah and Chip become neighbors, both receiving a letter saying "You are one of the thirty six children". At first, they think it is a prank, however this then leads them to think about their adoptions and
He then encounters a janitor who mentions about a file on Mr. Reardons desk. When he gets back, he makes a plan with his sister Katherine to takes pictures of the file while Jonah distracts the agent. "That is what started this whole mess, but was this with the adoption papers or the house stuff?" (Peterson 41). On the file, it mentioned a list of survivors only containing Jonahs and Chips names. There was also another list of witnesses and found the contact info for Angela Dupre. They later plan to meet up at a private library room where she told them her experience of the airplane incident and how several agencies got involved, and creates a theory that the plane was a time travel machine and they were previously adults who turned into babies. As they were talking, a man suddenly tries to enter the room but is tackled by the janitor who met Jonah at the agency and told the boys told to run away through a side window. "But she's got information, she may know who I am" (Peterson 148). A week later, Jonah's family receives an invitation to a conference for adopted children and their parents, so they accept the invitation and bring Chip as well to attend the conference since he wanted to come. "This
