Yorke showed the world a whole new side to himself then an interviewer asked him about his stance on respect. He said, “Respect is if you're having a political argument with someone, just before you get to the point where you call them a fascist, you sort of step back and wonder how on earth they've ended up at this point of complete ignorance and stupidity.” I don’t think that’s quite it, but that’s an interesting lesson there. Apparently, he is pretty mad about the neglect that artists’ paychecks are receiving from these companies that use their music. He told Italian publication La Repubblica that “they make money off the work of many artists who do not derive any benefit." When he was asked to elaborate on what he believed these companies were doing to artists, he said, "It’s like what the Nazis did in the Second World War. In fact, they all did that during the war, the British too: steal the art from other countries.
