Thousand Oaks is found in the United States of America, in the State of California, Ventura County. It is located in the southern part of the county and it is an affluent city. It was named Thousand Oaks after the many oak trees within the area.
The initial people who resided in the area were the Chumash community. In 1542, a Spanish explorer, Juan Rodriguez Cebrillo arrived at Point Mugu. He declared the land to be Spanish land and it eventually was part of Rancho El Conejo land grant by the Spanish government. The land was mainly was used for grazing.
