Three Challenges And Rewards I Will Fac
Three challenges and rewards I will face as a teacher.
Melissa A. Crum

Three challenges and rewards I will face as a teacher.
When it comes to teaching I think that there will be many challenges and rewards, in the following text I will discuss three of each. The first challenge that I will face as a teacher will be the diversity of a classroom. “This diversity exists in four different dimensions, which are outlined in figure 3.1” (Kauchak & Eggen p.71). These are culture, language, gender, and exceptionalities. It will be an amazing opportunity to get to know such a diverse group.
The second challenge that I will face will be bullying. Even when I was in school bullying was a problem but now that we have more technology it is a bigger problem than ever. Before technology came along bullying consisted of name calling and picking fights which could be controlled rather easily but now with all of the smartphones and laptops bullying can happen on a much larger scale and it’s harder to control. “Cyberbullying becomes a serious problem when it places other student’s mental health or lives at risk” (Kauchak & Eggen p. 265).
The third and final challenge that I will face will be punishment in the classroom. The difficult part will be finding a punishment that works for the whole class. The fact that everyone is raised differently will be a major factor in determining a punishment system. “The role of punishment, both in classroom management and in child raising, has been debated for centuries (e.g. “spare the rod and spoil the child”) and this debate continues today” (Kauchak & Eggen p.329)
With these three challenges I think that rewards can be found in each one. The first challenge I mentioned was diversity, I think that a big reward that can come out
