Three Main Sociological Principles Of Batman
“It’s not who I am underneath, but what I do that defines me.” This famous Batman quote from the Christopher Nolan’s Batman series, has a lot more truth to it than a person may think. It is not so much who a person is but rather what they do that defines their personality as well as the kind of person they are. There are many sociological principles that influence an individual. In order to appeal to the ethos of the audience, Batman is presented as an honorable hero for taking the blame for Dent’s crime. Though the movie producers are successful at persuading the audience of the honor of Batman, it is also confusing to have Batman not be the hero at the end of the movie. Therefore, the open-endedness and vagueness at the conclusion of this movie hinders the persuasiveness used by the writers to have Batman be the hero of the movie. But, this vagueness also serves as a logical tool used by the writers to leave the audience wanting more storyline. The logic used by the writers is that if they leave Batman in a sticky situation at the conclusion of this movie, then the viewers will want further information and answers to the problem at hand. This use of logic, as well as the cause and effect of this decision, is an effective persuasive tool used to convince the audience to continue to follow the…

Last month I just borrowed an old movie named Batman Begins. It’s not very old, though it was released in 2002. As the others movie I have ever watched, it contains Hero, Mentor, and Shadow. These three characters are always related to the other. Generally, action movie tells about Hero’s Journey. While reading “The Psychology Behind Superhero Origin Stories,” I actually agree with both statements on how we love the superhero movies because they are so fast and strong, and how we look up to the heroes. People today love to get away while watching movies. I myself fantasize about the heroes to not think about the stress in my life. I also agree on how this article states that how superhero movies help people manage with the different types of adversity we go through life. At some point of life somebody has lost someone near and dear to them, I would say that is why Batman is everybody favorite superhero. After Bruce Wayne parents was killed in front of him, he used that anger to transform into a crime fighting hero. Batman is the closest…

My first reason why family is important to my life is because they have always been there for me. Many of my peers succeed at certain sports or even various classes like English or Calculus. Although, I did struggle with my other activities and curriculum classes, family has always been there. Throughout middle school and high school, I competed with my friend for captain of the soccer team. I didn’t beat him until eighth grade when my hard work finally paid off. Because of this, I now realize how dedication and persistence can help someone achieve one’s goals. If I never decided to join the soccer team and compete for first captain, I wouldn’t have had the opportunity to challenge myself and gain the skills and characteristics that would benefit me throughout the rest of my life, if it had not been for my family pushing me to excel.…

Batman, the Dark Knight is full of underlying philosophy on society and life in many ways; I will focus on three of them: good versus evil, order versus chaos, and the theme of corruption. This film masterfully portrays a philosophic insight into selfish human behavior as a whole in society, while also giving an alternative perspective on the evil that lies in people just under a thin veneer of good ethics.…

Family is huge in determining who we are and what we are all about. They tell us from day one what is good about us and what we can or cannot do and we absorb it all as children letting it shape us. Our families in most cases dictate our political beliefs, our economic beliefs, our religion, and our societal beliefs and frame our overall view of the world. We learned how to give respect to other people to how to understand them and don’t let our ego to take the situation. Family taught us how to be a reliable person by having a positive and open minded to everyone. Being open-minded can be really tough sometimes. Most of us are brought up with a set of beliefs and values and, throughout our lives, tend to surround ourselves with people who share the same values and beliefs.
