While Germany is sending a telegram to Mexico to get us into the war and sinking our ships with their U-boats, we began working on our very our own war technology. We introduced the convoy system to protect our ships against U-boats. The weapons highly used in WWI were machine guns, submachine guns, flamethrowers, tanks, warplanes, and more. Some of which are still used to this day. In an upgraded version we still use machine guns, tanks, planes, and more in war.

Direct government involvement could have helped end the depression years sooner, but who knows? FDR makes his way into office, makes a new deal, and a radio broadcast to keep the public in the loop on what’s going on. He insured the banks which created the FDIC, insurance we still have today. If you want your money from the bank, it’s all yours (up to $250,000 at the bank in town.) He also created the Social Security Act, another thing we still have today for retirees and unemployed with disabilities to be able to live. Whether it be technology, modern women, or a depression, history from 1914 to now can still be useful to know. Things that happen today, are an effect of something that happened in the 1920’s or even before. It’s all a domino effect.
