He grew up on a farm, and when he was 2 his parents were killed. He never truly knew what his parents looked like, but ever since he gets glimpses of two of the same people. Frankie always thought that those people, were his parents. When his foster parents got enough money, they put Frankie on a boat headed to America, to start a new life, where he, just like everybody else could start over. Gain another life, that's how Frankie thought of it. He was sea sick, he had never been on a boat before, he had only seen them in the stories that his foster dad read him. He was leaning out of a port hole, puking, all into the water. As his stomach settled, he wondered what he was going to do in America, he didn’t know anybody at all, he was alone. No family, no friends, no one. He sat down on his bunk, when he looked up he saw a girl, just staring at a boy. He no idea who these people were, but it for some reason caught his attention, he felt like he knew them. But there's no way he could have, he’d never seen these people in his life, ever. But there was a connection. Each one of these kids did in fact have a connection, a goal, a dream. They all were sent off to America, by people who loved them. They were all told to thrive in their new home. As the children entered their new home, they were amazed by how big it was, how many people there were. The kids were baffled, at everything, the people, the cars, the stores that surrounded them as they walked
