She shot the tiger. It fell down in distress and the sob was so horrible it made the princess cry a little.
Her father stared at her. Her Lover stared at her, and the whole amphitheater stared at her.
Everyone was utterly silent.
The princess dropped the bow and arrow and ran out of the podium she and her father were sitting on and disappeared.
No one dared to speak a word, wondering what the king was going to do.
The princess's lover sat down on the sand in the arena and stared at the dead tiger sitting in front of him. He was stunned and relieved he didn’t get devoured by the tiger. Several minutes passed.
Then, out of nowhere, an elegant, white horse rides into the arena, with the princess riding.
She rode up to her Lover and pulled him onto the back of her horse.
“STOP!” yelled the King. He wanted to use the bow and arrow to shoot the peasant, but he didn’t want to accidentally shoot his daughter and lose her forever.
