The Titanic
RMS Titanic was a British passenger liner that sank in the North Atlantic Ocean on April 15,1912 after colliding with an iceberg during it's maiden voyage from Southampton, UK to New York City, USA. While watching this movie I discovered two things about it. One characteristic about the movie that was good was in the beginning it talked a lot about the titanic and showed the men exploring its ruins. Another thing I enjoyed about the movie was that it did not depict Rose as a snotty rich girl. It let us see her true side and who she really was. 84 years after the Titanic sank; a 100-year-old woman named Rose DeWitt Bukator tells the magnificent story of her experience of “the ship of Dreams” to her granddaughter lizzy Calvert, Brock Lovett, Lewis Bodine, Bobby Buell, and Anatoly Mikailavich. She explains all about her life set in April 10th 1912, on a ship called Titanic. When young Rose boards the departing ship with the upper-class passengers and her mother, Ruth DeWitt Bukater, and her fiancé, Caledon Cal Hockley she had no idea what adventures the next couple of days would hold. Meanwhile, a drifter and artist named Jack Dawson and his best friend Maurizio De Rossi win third-class tickets to the ship in a poker game. One night, Jack saves Rose from falling into the ocean when she was very upset. They developed quite a bond that Roses mother and her fiancé did not approve of. She explains the whole story from departure until the death of Titanic on its first and last voyage April 15th, 1912 at 2:20 in the morning. In this movie Director, James Cameron, chose to make the movie through one of the passenger’s point of view and their experience on the Titanic. Although it would be hard to make a movie depicting someone’s experience along with solid facts, Cameron does a good job of bringing the two together in the middle. The beginning of the movie is all about the explorers investigating the Titanic’s ruins
