TMA01: COMMUNICATING YOUR IDEA

Question 1

The proposed service is the development and production of up-to-date high-end quality motion picture films, music, wedding, corporate, advertising and web content videos for clients at affordable prices. Several companies provide these services out there but the cost for great quality high end videos are high due to high cost of filming equipments. Recently an Australian filming equipments company began producing high end filming equipments at half the cost compared to major competitors manufacturing these kind of equipments thereby providing us with a gap to explore. Seeing as these equipments aren't very popular we would be able to purchase these equipments at low cost giving us the opportunity to produce high quality services at half the price to our customers compared to our market competitors.

The target market will be individuals and companies requiring the services of a cinematographer or photographer. Example of individuals who would require our services would be singers or performers wanting to showcase their talent in a music video, independent film makers wanting to make an indie film. Also, example of companies requiring our services would be those needing a video for advertisement purposes, demonstration or whatever ever campaign that would need a visual representation. We have a large number of competitors around us and an even greater amount of competitors in order cities but with easy reach to our customer target base. We intend to target customers requiring animated works for product advertisement or other purposes and this would be handled by our animation specialist.

The Main Benefit our services will provide for our customers would be that of affordability and flexibility. While we would be providing customizable packages tailored around the ideas of our customers we wont be charging premium amounts thus giving them a service that before now they would have paid a fortune to get.

Childhood studies has a major impact of the lives of children, studies shown from the sixteenth century to date allow us to understand the changes that have been put into place to support and guide the lives of children today. Historical evidence from the sixteenth century provides us with ideas about the nature of children and how they were seen as sinners even whilst in the womb. This was known as the 'Puritan' view, historian childhood studies showed this to be in the form of whipping, canning and other forms of punishment. Further to this view came the 'Romantic' view, that showed children to be seen as innocence and goodness when seperated from the adult world. The 18th century Jean-Jacques Rausseau (1712-1778) published a treatise 'Emile, or on education' (1762) 'where he argued that children should be allowed to develop at their own rate in natural surroundings shielded from civilisation and the adult authority that corrupted then an turned good into bad' - (An introduction to childhood studies and child psychology chapter 1 -p11). The legal definition of a child is anyone under the age of 18 and the difference between an adult and children is differentiated by children being smaller, biologically and psychologically more immature.…

As demonstrated on City Road ( 'Making social lives on City Road ', 2009), many people use the same roads, visit the same shops and communicate with the same people, but this does not mean these people are the same. We all perceive people, places and objects differently and our perceptions of these define how we live our lives. Differences between the ways we live depend on our connections to people and places, and how we use these differences to our advantage.…
