Statistics are a part of every day life. We encounter them in evaluating medical treatments, picking a retirement plan, interpreting political polls, and even in sports. In this class we will learn how to identify, understand, and use the statistics we encounter in everyday life and work. To that end we will discuss:

Grades: There will be 3 tests (30%), a group project (30%), and an individual project (10%) . Of the 3 test grades, I will drop the lowest one in calculating your semester average. THERE ARE NO INDIVIDUAL MAKEUP EXAMINATIONS and NO LATE WORK
Homework: Homework is necessary to be successful on the exams. I will go over homework after it is due. All solutions will be posted on the Web Vista page. Homework is not graded. Exams: All exams will be in a proctored lab. If you are in the lecture section exams will be during the class time. On line students may choose between several times the lab offers to take their exams. If you are unable to take or complete an exam, that will be the grade that is
