By the time they are 2-3 years they will start to do more such as riding a bike, going up stairs on there own, playing ball games, using playground equipment, using crayons and much more. They will also carry on the task till they can do it all by themselves like playing a ball game like catch, if they drop the ball they will just pick it up and try again until they can catch it with out dropping it. Which makes them feel so good and happy. They should at this age be starting to master the art of toilet training.…
• Move from nappies to being toilet trained - Some children move effortlessly through this transition with not much support, for others it is more difficult recognising the signs of needing the toilet, for them it can make accidents and the events that could occur in response to an accident something to be dreaded and feared.…

Even though many don’t talk about it, bowel movements are a normal part of everyday life and an important health topic that should not be ignored. Bowel movements are the natural way your body excretes waste, so that mean’s what comes out of you will serve as a reflection to what is going on inside of your body. Even though looking into the toilet isn’t something most people like to do, you should monitor your stools for any notable changes. Being knowledgeable about your digestive system and aware of your bowel movements will help you realize when something is not right. Your stools can be a big indictor of your overall health, so take advantage of it, as its one of the few reminders you get pretty regularly.…
Dogs require potty training or need puppy pads to pee on, or else they will urinate wherever they choose. It is best to start potty training as soon as you bring your puppy home from the location in which you got it from. In some cases the first few weeks maybe a little difficult. Until your puppy gets potty trained don’t give him/her free reins of the house. Keep your dog in a small area until he/she is potty trained. This reduces the amount of messes there will be around the house, it will also make it much easier to clean. If your puppy accidentally goes to the bathroom inside the area, don’t hit or punish your pet. Potty training is new to them and they most likely will not get a hold of…
According to parents Josue is not potty trained. However, they report they are working on potty training in home. Mom reports that Josue will sit on the potty with his iPad and he is also able to gesture when he needs to be changed. To illustrate, Josue will say mama and get in the position (i.e. lay down on his back) to be changed. Parents also report, that Josue still drinks from a bottle, parents report he enjoys biting or chewing on the rubber nipple of the bottle. Josue also has difficulty with undressing, washing his hands, brushing his teeth, spitting out the water when brushing his teeth, and cleaning up. In addition, Josue has difficulty with wiping his nose, buttoning buttons, snapping snaps, and zipping zippers.Overall, parents want Josue’s communication to improve and they want to learn how to control his maladaptive behaviors.…
One of the most embarrassing and uncomfortable diseases is urinary incontinence. Urinary Incontinence can be defined as a medical condition in which the patient loses the control of the bladder. Jordan arrived to 100 E. Lancaster ave and greeted staff. Jordan was prompted to get dressed and did so independently. Jordan went to 318 and began his meal prep. Staff assisted that Jordan with preparing his meal, using a light physical guidance while Jordan poured his milk. Jordan consumed his meal and then was prompted to clean up. Jordan practiced some morning hygiene, by brushing his teeth. Jordan used his electric tooth brush to brush his teeth. He needed a few prompts to stay on task and other prompts to turn his brush in order to target specific areas. Jordan moved on to shaving with his electric razor. Jordan was able to follow his sequence targeting each area. Jordan was assisted with identifying his chin but did well locating all…
For the purpose of this assignment I have changed the chosen patients name to Scott to maintain patient confidentiality (Nursing & Midwifery Council 2004). Scott is a young boy that is 7 years of age who stays at home, in the suburbs of Aberdeen, with his mother and father and has no siblings. His mother is unemployed and father works offshore so is often not at home for long periods of time. Scott was admitted to hospital after having not had any bowl movements for a week and the previous week having only passed two stools. He reported pain whilst he passed these stools along with anal bleeding. This was not the first time he had been admitted to hospital with these symptoms in the past year. These symptoms lead to his diagnoses of suffering from chronic constipation. It was found that there were no underlying organic causes for his constipation. The modern diet of children, with a lack of fibre, can be the cause of constipation (SULLIVAN, P.B. et al, 2006). This could be true in Scott’s case as he is fussy with what foods he eats which may be a contributing factor to his constipation.…
Potty training can be really hard, but if I know how to do it the right way,it will be easier than it seems. There are several ways to housebreak a puppy. First you can put down papers or pretreated pads encouraging them to use these areas for going to the bathroom. The pads are scented with a chemical that attracts the puppy to use them. Whenever you see the puppy starting into his "pre-potty pattern," such as walking around and sniffing the floor, or even standing by the door you gently pick them up without talking and carry them over to the papers/pad and then praise them when they go to the bathroom.…
The general area of that I choose to research was Kidney Health in Indigenous Australians. I looked at what factors affect the incidence of kidney failure, and possible solutions and preventions into this issue. I am curious as to why there is such a significant difference between Caucasian health and that of an Indigenous Australians. The findings of my report showed that the further an Indigenous Australia was from a major centre, the higher the rate of incidence among them was. However further research was done to discover that location was not the only factor that determines incidence of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD). It was also found that socioeconomic factors, education and lifestyle were other major contributors to the incidence of CKD. To discover my findings I extensively researched using Interviews, medical journals, newspapers, online videos, websites, and books. This outcome was valuable as it helped me recognise the extensive current health gap between non-Indigenous and Indigenous Australians and possible solutions to repair this gap in Australia.…

Schools all over the country are finding lead in their water. This is mostly due to old buildings with old plumbing. It wasn’t until 1986 that lead plumbing was banned(still allows 8 percent lead) so any school built before then is at a greater risk.Schools also are not required to test their own water unless they have a well so the contamination can go completely unnoticed. Once a school finds lead in the water there isn’t much they can because they just don’t have the money to put in entirely new plumbing.…

A public restroom is the place we all rely on when we are outside of the comfort of our homes. It is the space of rest for our basic necessities and no place can be without having one near. I spend much of my time on the road and visit public restrooms every day. Why I’m talking about this subject? No, I am not into any fetish of some bizarre nature, but I find interesting the way humans behave on a subject that is so natural and necessary to do. I have “studied” public restroom habits in the workplace over the years and am aware of things that happen systematically. So if you’re not disgusted already, please continue reading.…
