Tom Brady Accomplishments
Tom Brady has achieved many great accomplishments over the past decade. Being one of the most famous quarterbacks, he is a three time Super Bowl champion with the New England Patriots. However none of this came easy for him throughout the beginning of his life. Brady was born on August 3, 1977 to the parents of Tom Brady Sr. and Galynn Patricia Brady in San Mateo, California. Growing up he struggled with being the only boy and having three older sisters due to the fact that they got all the attention. He wrote an essay about it in high school titled, “The forgotten one” and he wished that someday he wouldn’t just be known as their “little brother.” Throughout high school, Brady played baseball, basketball, and was the backup quarterback …show more content…
His entire first year he was benched. However at the start of the 2001 season, Brady was moved up to backup quarterback. During the end of the second game of the season, quarterback Drew Bledsoe got injured. It was finally Brady’s turn to play. Following that season, the Patriots had an 11-5 record and made it to the Super Bowl, in which was the Patriots first super bowl in history. Playing against the ST. Louis Rams, Tom Brady led his team to victory and became the game’s MVP. The following season wasn’t as good as the previous, finishing second in the AFC East Division. The next two seasons, Brady led the team to two super bowl victories and in 2003 he was named the Super Bowl MVP for the second time. In 2005, Brady signed a six year contract with the Patriots. In 2007, Brady led the Patriots through an undefeated season. However they lost to the New York Giants at the Super Bowl. In the start of the 2008 season, Tom Brady faced a difficult knee injury that placed him on the benched throughout the entire season. He had to undergo many surgeries and had to go through physical therapy. In 2010 he got resigned to the Patriots. In 2011 Brady once again led his team to Super Bowl XLVI.
