Ben Hall and Maguire may have divided the property and operated independently of each other, as in John McGuire's narrative, 'The Biography of a Reliable Old Native', Maguire states that Ben Hall reputedly named his portion 'Cubbine Bin', running his own cattle and horses, and when required the two men worked together in clearing and forming stockyards close to their water supply, this would have been a prudent way to operate a new farming enterprise in the 1860’s, and thus the two squatters shared the yearly rent to the government, as for the acquiring of stock for this new enterprise, John Maguire states that Ben Hall and himself had done a bit of duffing, Maguire…

It was a personal letter from Paul to one of Paul’s dear friends Titus. Paul had become very fond of his brother in Christ and as a great spiritual leader; he wanted to write him words of encouragement and wisdom. Titus is specifically for people who have been called into ministry. One of the many main goals behind writing Titus was clear up to a misunderstanding in the churches of Crete. Another reason behind the writing was to help the churches in and around that area grow. Paul wanted to challenge them in their faith, knowledge, and living a godly lifestyle. Finally, one of Paul’s last and most known reasons was to stop the false teachers. Like all of the Epistles, Paul came to challenge and encourage Christian believers not to stay content in the life they now live but to grow and be uncomfortable in their walk with God. Paul had a very clear message, he and spoke only from the Word and what God told him. Paul shared the basic knowledge of what it means to follow Jesus and to know how to walk out a God-fearing…
Dan O’Brien is one of those guys with whom you only need to speak for a short while before you understand how deeply connected he is to hunting — and to the animals he hunts. At age 48, O’Brien is already a 35-year bowhunting veteran. As a youngster in Pennsylvania, he got his introduction to hunting from his dad. Since then, O’Brien has taken hundreds of deer over the years, and most of those deer have been bow kills.…
In the novel ‘The story of Tom Brennan’ absolutely no good comes from the car accident involving Daniel. Do you agree? The family learn to accept what has happened and are now reconnecting as a family after being torn and broken apart due to the car accident.…
When is the last time that you saw a literary device? In a poem, or a novel? Perhaps a short story? Literary devices: we all use them, we all love them, but what can it really do for an author's writing? When used correctly they can add character and dimension to one's writing, but what some fail to remember is that even the best writers can fall extremely short to writing excellent literary elements. In the short story “The Most Dangerous Game,” Richard Connell uses literary devices such as personifications and allusions to help the reader better understand the plot and characters. Although Connell excelled in his numerous uses of personifications, his allusions he attempted were far from perfection.…

Every person is an individual, and although each of the Brennans’ reaction to tragedy was individual, the effects all branch from the six stages of grief; denial, anger, guilt, depression, acceptance and growth. Not all members of the family displayed their progression through each of the stages, but each individual demonstrated a certain stage.…

The beauty of literature is its ability to teach the reader valuable lessons about the world. These lessons are relevant to life, because the themes in many books are based on reality. Although narratives are fictitious, they have been shaped using views from real life, allowing the composer to communicate important and relevant messages. Readers will respond to stories in many different ways, but through an engaging text, they will learn valuable lessons to put into practice in reality. Well-written narratives challenge their readers to reconsider society's views and their own perspectives on particular issues. The audience is positioned to understand how much a personal opinion can be based on society's views. The novel "The Story of Tom Brennan" uses the profound story of the Brennan family to encourage her teenage audience to think critically about the consequences of drink driving and rash decisions. It also offers an insight into the grieving process, demonstrating ways of dealing with adversity and emphasising that accepting support is the best way to recover from grief. Because the novel is written in such an authentic way, the audience is positioned to understand the ideas portrayed in it and how they relate to their own lives.…
But our naval might is about much more than cutting-edge technology. It’s about the Sailors who make up our force. It is about their ingenuity, their can-do attitude and fortitude in the face of hardship.…
I relate to this story very well. I am sort of like Tom where I like to go out and have fun, but somehow get in trouble. I don’t know if I would go and steal gold coins, although it might be enjoyable. I think it would be fun going out with friends and stirring up trouble. It would also be great if I could get someone to do my chores and work for me. Tom seems like he has so much fun on his adventures, even though he does some things he is not supposed to do. Tom and I are sort of alike, we both hate school just want to sit outside or go on adventures. I also would like to live back in his day, no TV, internet, not even a phone your entertainment is going around the town. Back in those days you would have no fear of robbers or even murders,…
As many know, I am really into music. My favorite bands are; Project 86, Family Force 5, Emery, and Underoath. I’ve actually talked to most of these band’s members by the time I graduated high school. The only ones I haven’t talked to are the members of Project 86, but that changed over the summer and what happened when I met them changed my life.…
