Tom Robinson's Monologue
I stalked them as they walked. So oblivious to the danger lurking near. It’s sad that they have to pay for their dad’s mistake. Who was Atticus to make a fool of me? I was supposed to be a hero, now I’m forgotten like that Negro Tom Robinson. Too bad Tom Robinson is not going to be the only one in a coffin after tonight.
I grabbed the sharpest knife in my kitchen, hoping the night goes as planned. Nobody is going to stop me if they do, I will kill them like I did to that Negro loving daughter of mine. She overheard me talking to myself, going over my plan. She tried to convince me not to do it, but when she saw I wasn’t going to change my mind. She told me she was going to snitch on me. I grabbed her by her neck, squeezing with all my might. I didn’t want to stab her, Atticus kids are going to be the first one I

“It probably Cecil trying to scare us again.’’ Jem reply. “Well I show him he can’t scare us twice. Cecil Jacobs is a big wet hen!” Scout scream out into the darkness. I chuckle darkly because little did they know it me and not Cecil, but by the time I’m done with them they going to wish I was him. “Scout shut up real quick. If it was Cecil he would have jump out right now. Let’s just hurry home, we are almost there.” Jem told Scout I can see him shaking. They quicken their steps I tried my best to match their footsteps. They suddenly stop at a big oak tree close to the Radley’s place, but I wasn’t quick enough to stop with them. “Run Scout! Run!” I heard Jem scream. Crap I had to get them now. I didn’t wait any longer I lunge toward them. Scout fell to the ground follow by Jem. I took that opportunity and grabbed Scout. "Jem! Help me!" Scout cried out for her brother. I stab her with my knife never stopping even when I felt her blood splatter onto my face. “Get off her’’ Jem holler jumping on my back, trying to save his little sister but it was too late. He should have just ran home because I’m coming for him

Before Jem looks at anyone else he looks at me, and I've tried to live so I can look squarely back at him... if I connived at something like this, frankly I couldn't meet his eye, and the day I can't do that I'll know I've lost him. I don't want to lose him and Scout, because they're all I've got,” (Lee 366)…
