Tom Shrek: A Personal Narrative
Tom was sitting on his couch at 10 p.m. on a Friday. He was watching Shrek and eating popcorn. Tom’s wife was asleep so he was awake alone. He thought he had heard a loud noise at his back door so he went to the door and opened it and nobody was there. Tom went back to finish his movie when he heard another knock, this time at the front door and the knock was louder. When he went to the front door there was nobody. Tom returned to his movie once again. After finishing the movie, Tom was eating Taco Bell. There was banging on the window and the lights went out. He ran to the window and opened it and the devil was outside. The devil told Tom he had killed Tom’s wife because he wanted her soul and she refused to give it to him. The devil told
tom they could make a deal. Tom could live and he could have unlimited knowledge and promised to lead him to treasures if he would give the devil his soul. Tom wanted to run but he knew he was not going to get away. The deal was tempting but tom did not feel like he was going to get enough out of the deal. Tom decided to run to the woods and try to make it to the other side. While tom is in the woods he finds his wife tied up and she is still alive. Tom decides to leave her and keeps trying to hide. Everywhere Tom hid the devil would find him, he then realized he would not get away. Tom told the devil he wanted more out of the deal and that was the only way he would give him his soul. The devil decided Tom was being too greedy and wanted too much. The devil decided to take to take Tom away and kill him. The devil let Tom’s wife live and made the deal with her instead because she was not asking for as much in the deal and he wanted a soul. After making the deal with the devil, the wife was happy for a while and had a lot of what she wanted but eventually the devil came back for her. She tried to run too, but she also could not hide. The devil eventually caught up with her. The devil took her off in his truck and killed her and put her in the same place her husband was and then the devil sped away.
