The Tomb of Unknown Soldier stands over 8 feet tall. It is made of white marble and contains four sarcophagi. The Tomb was designed by sculptor Thomas Hudson e Eastern panel. There are also six wreaths, three sculpted on each side. Words inscribed on the back of the Tomb are “Here rests in honored glory an American Soldier known but to God.” The Tomb sarcophagus was placed above the grave of the Unknown Soldier of WW1. The Tomb of Unknown Soldiers is just outside Washington, D.C. in Arlington, Virginia. It is located inside Arlington National Cemetery one of the largest most famous National Cemeteries. Inside Arlington National Cemetery is sit on top of a hill overlooking Washington, D.C. The Tomb of Unknown Soldier is 0.3 miles away from the Arlington House. It is also just a short walk away from the Challenger Memorial and the USS Maine Memorial.

Each and every single soldier must be in excellent physical condition, stand between 5’ 10” – 6’ 4”, with a waist size that can’t exceed 30”.
