It can turn people against their family and the society in which they live. It can create illegal businesses, which thrive on the desire of money. Regardless of the ways in which the corruption occurs, it is abundantly clear that the power derived from money can corrupt people. Fitzgerald demonstrates these flaws of society with Tom and Gatsby and how the wealthy life has driven them to go against the morals founded by society. This being said, not everyone who is rich has not morals, but the truth is that money can break any man at any moment, for when the desired object can fulfill dreams, many will disregard all others to obtain…

Money is power, which people want for themselves. The desire for money is a never ending trip and most individuals will do anything for this control. When people come in to some money, they feel superior, more powerful and above the rest of the other people that have less .they start hanging in crowds with the same level of income, so they feel better. I had a friend who once talk all the time, play together and hangout. When she got older, her family came in to money big time. Now she doesn’t talk to me, and never does anything with me. A…

Money is wasted often. Of course, this is an opinionated statement. The people with less money will think that the people with more money, that are out buying cars for their dogs and phones for their babies, are wasting money. There is a certain amount of things you should show around people who can’t buy expensive things. Even if they do not admit it, these same people still behave as though it were true. More money means you can have what you want and do what you want. The house you dream of? It is yours. The new car you desire? Here are the keys. Why should money bring the feeling of self-satisfaction? If we should view life as a movie, we notice the sole purpose of our life is to get an education as we get older so that we can be able to get a job and make a living by earning enough money. So there it is the answer to those questions. Basically, what we tend to do in our whole life time is to earn money to survive to our taste of satisfaction. I do understand that some people believe in the “myself before another” principle which Cutler expatiated on when he said, “having a more expensive car than your neighbors might be a problem for them –they might be jealous and so on- but having a new car would give you, yourself a feeling of satisfaction and enjoyment.” (Bedau…

This never ending pursuit of money has made the society a selfish one. People forget that there are many things that money can't buy. A Chinese proverb summarizes this argument very well by saying that money can buy a house but it cannot make a home, that it can not buy time, sleep knowledge, health, respect and a good life only the material aspects can be bought but not ones that come from within. Stephen R. Covey in his book ' seven habits of highly effective people also mentions that some of us tend to be centered around money and so our sense of security and happiness is directly related to how much money we have and since its human nature to never be satisfied with what one has he is likely to remain unhappy most of the time. Even a huge increase in wealth is unlikely to satisfy such a person. For this purpose we need to alter our centres to what we really want at the end of our…

“Money has never made man happy, nor will it, there is nothing in its nature to produce happiness. The more of it one has, the more one wants,” quoted by Benjamin Franklin. Money can’t buy happiness because materials are short lived, human connection is more important, and wealth undermines people’s ability to savor positive events from the sheer abundance. Money will accumulate, but it is easy to chase more and more until you realize you’re not actually living.…

The desire to have what we consider the better things would convince us that one will be “happier” than we were ever before. That then becomes a habit, which will make one want more than needed. While yea money can does in fact make one happy, it’s only temporary. Try and look back at one time you might have bought something and regret buying it a few days later.
