1. M.B.B.S. (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery): MBBS is usually a minimum of 4-year medical degree awarded in many countries like UK, India. Often the Bachelor of Surgery and M.B.B.S both degrees are awarded concurrently. The course duration In India becomes : 5.5 years.

2. B.D.S. (Bachelor of Dental Surgery): Bachelor of Dental Surgery ( B.D.S ) is a first professional degree Programme in dentistry. In India, training in dentistry is through a 5-year BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) course, 4 years are allotted to studying while 1 year is meant for internship. A masters degree of 3 years for specialization can also be opted later which is Master of Dental Surgery (MDS).

3. B.H.M.S. (Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine & Surgery): homeopathy is widely considered a pseudoscience and the Government of India recognizes homeopathy as one of its national systems of medicine. it has established AYUSH stands for - Department of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. Many people prefer this way of treatment since it is notion that homeopathy generates low side effects. The National Institute of Homeopathy presently regulates the Homeopathic Education in India. To pursue this branch of medicine Applicant should have passed HSC Exam from recognized Board/University in India or equivalence. The usual course duration is 5.5 years.

4. B.A.M.S. (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery): B.A.M.S. is an integrated medical degree prevalent in India, awarded to those who have studied the integrated system of modern medicine as well as traditional Ayurveda. The Ayurvedic Education in India is presently regulated by the Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM). The usual course duration is 5.5 years followed by a 1 year internship.
5. M.D. (Doctor of Medicine): This is a post-graduate/terminal degree, awarded to Physicians. It may also be a research degree
