Top three issues of the United State United States is still a relatively young nations compare to many other countries. Although, U.S. has been the world dominant figure in military for the past 20 or more years, It still have many things that need to improve; such as, illegal immigrants, credit crisis, and problems with court delay. However, it is very hard for United States to solve these problems, because United States is a country with freedom, hope, and restart for the new life. All of the United States structures and systems are build base on the idea of democracy. Without the idea of democracy, United States will not exist, and become the most powerful nation around the world. One of the most important issues that United States has is the Immigration problem. The number of illegal immigrant has increase by a significant amount within the last 50 years. Illegal immigrants have found many ways to sneak in the U.S. border. It makes very difficult for U.S. to set a barrier to prevent the illegal immigrant keep on across the U.S. border. Those immigrants can sneak in the U.S. border by fishing boats, Air planes, and by using the weak defensive line between the U.S. and Mexico border. Among of those strategies, the weak defensive line between the U.S. and Mexico border has been a most common way use by Mexicans. It is a cheapest way for them, because with their poor financial support. They cannot afford to buy out a fishing boat or ride on an air plane. The defensive line is weak enough for an average man with an average athletic ability to break through easily. The Mexico Border not only causes the immigration problems. It also causes the overabundant of drug trades. Therefore, within the recent years, U.S. has double the defense at the border. It includes two 12 to 15 feet high of fences, two pyramid of coiled barbed wire, and two ditches to prevent vehicles from approaching the fences. The illegal immigrants from Asia mostly get through the U.S. border by air plane. Most of them use tourist visa to get through the customs inspection. After they get through the inspection, they quickly bland in the normal American's way of life. It makes very challenge for the illegal immigration agents to catch them. Moreover, the illegal immigrants do not have to file income taxes. That's why it becomes a controversial issue in United States. Some of the proponents of immigration enforcement argue that illegal immigrants cost the U.S. taxpayers an estimated 338.3 billions of dollars over the last 50 years. It also jeopardizes the safety of the law enforcement officials and citizens.
The second major issue is that United State has the problem on delay court processing. Recently, it takes about five years for a case to be actually trail in the court after the case was “currently happened”. One of the main reasons for that is due to the large amount of law enforcement and limited number of court and the judges or justices. Sometimes this can be a huge issue as to determine justice. As people continue breaking laws and law enforcement officers keep on arresting those law breakers; it is just too much for our court system to trail all the cases on time. As time went by, evidence could be lost, witness might forget or sometimes moved to elsewhere, and most importantly it costs money for both parties. "Delay in the courts is unqualifiedly bad. It is bad because it deprives citizens of a basic public service, it is bad because the lapse of time frequently causes deterioration of evidence and makes it less likely that justice be done when the case is finally tried; it is bad because delay may cause severe hardship to some parties and may in general affect litigants differentially; and it is bad because it brings to the entire court system a loss of public confidence, respect and pride. It invites in brief the wisecrack made a few years ago in a magazine editorial, 'Okay, blind, but why so slow." Delay in courts threatens our system of justice. As delays increase, those innocent people who cannot afford to make bail would be forced to stay in jail longer. Guiltiest would have better opportunities threat the society once again. This again would cause more and more innocent people suffer. I think the only way to resolve this problem is to expend the court system, which it means train and hire more judges who could deal with the system. However, it is a little hard for it to happen in reality. Nothing can prevent criminal to do crimes for sure. Nowadays, credit loan is very common in the United State. As people became successful quickly, greed started to kick in. People used derivatives not to reduce their risk, but to take on more risk to make more money. People who have good credit may be easier to loan from banks. They borrow lots money based on their good credit in order to used derivatives to earn more money and pay the money back to where they loan the money. This vicious cycle will cause the credit crisis. For example, one major contributing factor of the financial meltdown of 2008 involved the bankrupt of Lehman Brothers’ company which caused the subprime crisis. The subprime mortgage crisis is due to the increased number of U.S. subprime mortgage borrower defaults. This situation affected the subprime mortgage and related financial asset prices which had fallen substantially due to the global financial market turmoil and liquidity crises. As the financial situation quickly worsened, many state-owned enterprises and banks were involved in this matter. Based on the example of 2008 financial meltdown, I think government should enact some regulation to prevent the same credit crisis. In my opinion, government should restrict the loaner that when they processing to loaned one’s money, they need to check not only their personal credit but also their financial situation within the last 5-10 years. It can help the loaner to understand more about the background of that borrower. According to information I have mentioned above, it is quite obviously that there are several problems in the United State and it is the responsibility of US government to face and process those issues. First of all, the immigration problem is the most significantly issue in today’s US. The illegal immigration not only threats our current market opportunity but also affect the economic in the United State. In addition, the problem of delay court processing might put us into a dangerous and unsafe environemnt for which it allows guility to remain free. Finally, the overuse of credit loan will lead to the credit crisis then cause the financial meltdown. To overall, we need government to face and process those hot issues and make the United State to be a better country.
