Should High School Graduates Take a Year Off Before Entering College?
I. Students usually don’t return to school. A. Graduates become lazy. B. Say work is more important.
II. Family doesn’t want them to leave home. A. Some have fears of college. B. Failure rates begin to set in. C. College tuition.
III. Worn out from High School A. Put all their energy to high school work. B. Some just want to rest.
IV. Whining down process. A. Students realize they don’t need school to succeed. B. Thinks college is overrated.
Thesis: Waiting a year after students graduate from high school, otherwise known as “the gap year”, should not be acceptable because students do not usually return to school, the family members usually don’t want the students to leave home, most students are worn out from high school, and the whining down process will become a bigger problem in the future.

The Objective of Women: Whose Fault Is It? Q &A
2. DeRosa’s purpose for writing this essay is to voice his opinion on how women are not treated respectfully through our society today. He achieves the purpose of this essay greatly throughout the whole paper. He stays on point with his topic thoroughly.
4. The writers opposing views about the female recruiters are well said and stated clearly. He used examples throughout the whole piece, and even used other sources to help back up his information. He uses many different scenarios that help connect to the readers. I know the way DeRosa explained his thoughts and information helped me understand where he is coming from.
5. Even though DeRosa is a student, husband, and father, I think he uses his evidence well. I would rather this topic come from a woman’s point
