Total Eclipse By Annie Dillard Summary
Annie Dillard is the author of the article “Total Eclipse”. The article is based on a real eclipse that occurred in February 1979. In this article, Dillard shows her awe for the eclipse in many different ways. In a section of the article, the author talks about how she feels about the eclipse, showing her awe. For example, in paragraph 2 she says “I turned back to the sun. It was going to be a good one. The sun was going, and the world was wrong.” This example from the text shows the reader that Dillard was amused but also afraid of what was going on. Another section where the author shows her awe of the eclipse is in the last paragraph. In paragraph 5, Dillard states “From all the hills came screams. A piece of sky beside the crescent sun
